Jason has over fifteen years of experience in the field of Mental & Behavioral Health and counseling services. Jason completed his undergraduate studies with Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. He went on to complete his graduate studies with Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, TX. He has been a State of Texas Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) since 2013.
Jason provides direct observation and feedback to clients with a compassionate and supportive disposition. Jason demonstrates understanding and a positive, healing presence with his clients. He enjoys assisting his clients develop their personal strengths and overcome the challenges of life stressors and personal trauma.
Jason is a native to West Texas and has worked with clients of all ages. His experience includes crisis intervention, individual counseling, and group counseling. Jason has extensive experience with the diagnosis and treatment of PTSD, substance abuse, depression, and anxiety. He worked with local and state agencies providing services to indigent mental health clients, correctional institutions and prisons, protective services, and non-profit community agencies. He also has experience working with adolescent clients. Jason enjoys seeing clients with mental health concerns, substance abuse, and problems of everyday living. Jason is accepting clients who are 13 years of age and older. He sees clients for individual, couples, and family counseling.
Jason utilizes therapeutic practices such as Individualistic Counseling, Person Centered Counseling, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Logotherapy based on the treatment developed by Viktor Frankl .
Jason believes in empowering his clients to seek a positive perspective in the areas of life where they may be struggling. Jason is an active participant in his local church, community activities, volunteer activities, and is active in the recovery community. Jason provides an honest, sincere, and kind treatment presence with clients who are struggling while maintaining direct, informed, experienced, and forthcoming communication.
During his leisure time, Jason enjoys reading, history, and watching Red Raider sports.
Jason is based in Abilene, Texas and accepts clients from all over Texas as he provides telehealth services.
