A Welcome & Introduction From Laura Stark:

Hello! Today you are one step closer to a new you where you feel empowered and on a positive path to growth and well-being.

I support clients in building useful, healthy coping strategies to manage life's struggles and the understanding that it is "okay" to be human. My therapeutic process focuses on assisting clients in gaining self-awareness while working through life's challenges. I assist clients in reframing negative self-talk to healthier, more self-affirming self-talk.

As a solution-focused therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

I provide care using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Family Systems Therapy, and Person Centered Therapy. I strive to provide a friendly and trusting environment for clients to explore their concerns. If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.

My clinical interests include the treatment of depression, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, self-esteem issues, relational issues, couples counseling, divorce recovery, dual-diagnosis, and adjustment to life cycle changes.

I have experience with and treat the following: Individual, Couples, Family Therapy, Intimacy and Relationship Issues, Family Counseling, Depression, Anxiety, Grief and Loss, Panic Attacks, Panic Disorder, Parenting and Family Issues, Parenting Support, Stress Management, Work and Career Issues, & Phobias.
